Stand firm in the midst of Trials

Even though how firm the relationship inside the family, there are times that it is shaken by trials. But a strong family can stand firm in the midst of trials. For there is the Great One whom they can lean on.

What is a strong family?

First. It is a family that was built by God

Was your family built by God? Your family was built by God if, (1) before you live together, you had received God’s blessings through marriage. (2) you asked God to be the Spiritual head of your family. (3) In every plan you made you should submit it to God. (4) You should led your children to God (5) You should learn to thank and acknowledge God in everything you received.

1. Before you live together you had received God’s blessings through marriage.

Meaning to say, it is best that a marriage should be done first before living together. It is in marriage that you will receive God’s blessings throughout your entire married life.

2. Ask God to be the head of the family.

After marriage, before you start living together, ask God to be the Spiritual head of the family which you had established. if God is the head of the family which you had established, even though there will be storms of trials and problems yet your family is secure. You are secure because your Spiritual head is always there willing to help you and covers you with his mighty arms so that you are always secure.

3. You should submit every plans and decisions to God.

Before putting into action, you should submit your plans and decisions to
God for Correction. Through prayers we can submit our plans and decision to God. If that is His will then everything will come smoothly. But if not, God would give you another option and it will just come out along the way as you continue on submitting to him. So there’s no way for problem for if it is God’s will, it is the best way for your family.

4. Lead your children to God

If ever God would bless you with children, it is but your duty and obligation to lead them to God. God is the spiritual head, and you are the head of your family who can lead them to the spiritual head. Remember. You are accountable of their souls. They will not wander if had lead them to the right path which is the way of God.

5. You should acknowledge God and thank Him for what you had received

You should be thankful to God for everything that comes to your life. Whether it be blessings, trials or problems. We should learn to thank God for everything. His Word Says: All things work together for Good. With these I know for sure that no problem can shake your family.

A Noble Mother

In our society today, seldom we can find a noble mother who is a picture in the Bible in the book of Proverbs such as a virtuous woman. Today, many mothers cannot even fulfill even just their simple duty to their family.

A true noble mother is a woman who is;

Treasured by Her Husband

Here is a beautiful picture of the happiness of an ideal marriage that is not only started well but went on well. We can find it in Proverbs 31:10-12, 23&28. She has the three outstanding qualities.

   Her trustworthiness-her husband could trust her utterly. She was honest, truthful and loyal, and he could utterly rely upon her discretion.
2. 
   
   Her affection-she greatly loved the man who greatly loved her, and this was the basis of this wonderful marriage.
3. 
   
   Her influence-when her husband talk to others of their wife, he would always immediately associate his wife, because she was lovely and such a gracious lady. She was a treasure indeed.

Capable in Her Home

1. 
   
   Her industry-what a busy woman she was. There was no chance of her getting bored. Many marriages suffer and the home life becomes disrupted because the wife is bored.
2. 
   
   Her energy-She rose up early and went to bed late. She knew how to manage her servants, invest money, handle property and do business in the market and she was too busy to think about herself.
3. 
   
   Her prudence-this means that she was wise, discreet and acted with forethought. She was a hard worker, a manufacturer, she bought and sold and she did all this with amazing business acumen.

Loved by Her Children

What a beautiful thing it is, if the children loved their mother so much. If she possesses this three outstanding qualities, for sure she would be loved by her children.

   Her thoughtfulness-she was self-effacing and always thinking of others. How different from many of today’s mother s who are self-centered and have no room for their children.
2. 
   
   Her discipline-she disciplines herself and she knew how to discipline her children, and that is one great reason why her children loved her. Children are not only better for it, but they like the right kind of discipline.
3. 
   
   Her wisdom-she opens her mouth with skillful and godly wisdom. And in her tongue is the law of kindness, giving counsel and instruction. What a heritage to have, or to have had, a mother like this!

To establish a right kind of family relationship, mothers should do their true duty. A noble mother.  

Continuous Binding of a Family

Due to the effect of fast changing lifestyle in the society today, most of the common problems which arises in the family is the relationship inside the home. It seems that some family today cannot continue their close relationship or their family binding. It is because of the different where about each family member is engage in.

Parents were busy in their works in order to earn money to support the family. Children were busy with their studies and going out with their peer. They cannot even share or talk together because of the busy and hectic schedule which everyone is doing. Here started the breaking down of the close relationship inside the family.

Parents, it is but our obligation to know and to monitor our children. As we know that they are our responsibility and we are the very first who is accountable for them. Despite how busy we are and how hectic our schedule would be, we should give time for them. A time to talk to them, about their studies, their where about, and their concerns. Let’s always put in mind that this is the only time that we can get closer to them.

We just never know that sometimes our children have problems and they need our help. Financial support is not only the answer to all of their problems. They have problems that need our support, our advices and even our hug and comfort. There are times that even though how hard their problem is, they will not bother us because they feel that we are too busy and they will not disturb us. We should be the first to talk to them in order that they will open their problems to us.

Our children need our guidance. Though they are mature enough but still they need guidance because they are just starting to tackle life’s difficulties which we had already gone through. They may have their own ideas but as children they still need our opinion. You can guide them in the right path if you do your duty as a parent to your children. Through this, your relationship will grow closer and firm. Every time your children needs help, they would come to you for guidance because they now that you are the right counselor for them.

Are you still giving more time to your children? Do you give them a time everyday though how hectic your schedule is? Are you still giving them guidance though they are old enough to depend on you? Continue that binding of the relationship which you have started. Continue to do your obligation as a parent. Parenting is a special and valuable duty, we must treasure it.      

Christian Parents: Example to Children

As a Christian we should set an example to our children. We are a living model to our children, so we should know what to do, as an example to our children. It is us parents, who knows best for them. So, let us live them a good example.

Our children are starting to explore this world. As they go through, they meet different kinds of lifestyle from different people. Most of them try to imitate those actions which they have seen especially when those people whom they have seen were people of influence. It seems to them that they are there model and they should follow it not knowing what the outcome is.

As Christian parents, we are the one to lead them the right way in order for them to follow the good and right example. For them what they think about is right, that is why they need our guidance. What are the guidance that our children need?

Guidance from theWord of God

God’s Word is the best guidance that we can leave to them. The Word of God in Proverbs says “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.” As parents who knows more about God’s Word it is you who should teach them the true and right direction from God’s Word.

Guidance Through Prayer

Are you praying for your children? As Christian parents it is our responsibility to pray for each of our children. Our prayer is a great help to them. It is our prayer that will light up their life as they go through. We need to pray for them, ask God earnestly to guide them that they should not turn to the left or to the right but to follow the right path that God wants them to be.

Guidance of Salvation

The most important guidance of all that we can give to our children is the guidance of salvation. We should guide them and led them to salvation which can be found only through Christ. Parents, salvation of our children is our true responsibility. Led them to the saving knowledge of Christ in order for them to have eternal life. A Godly treasure money can’t buy.

Mother Gives Light

In every family it is the mother who gives light to the family. The mother is the one who lighten each of the family members in order to walk in a brighter path.

As a mother, we really have a good and better plan for the future of our children. There is no mother who wants that the future of their children would be ruin. She is doing all the best she can in order to give better future for her children. The father is just the one who supplies the needs of the family, who implements the law inside the house. It is the mother who helps the children on how to obey each rule and helps them the right and proper way to do as children inside the house.

It is the obligation of a mother being light of the family to give advice to her children. She is the one who will give a good advice to her children. To lead them in the right path, to show them the right way in order for them not to walk the wrong path. Let’s always remember that God wants us to give the right instruction to our children on what to do with their life. Always put in their mind that not all things here in earth can be bought with money. Let’s leave to them eternal things money can’t buy and ever thing will just follow in life.

Let’s remember King Solomon in the Bible. He asked God for knowledge and wisdom and everything in his life just followed. But in his life when he has obtained all the material things we know that he had also done some wrongs which should not be done. Maybe some of the things that his mother taught him when he was still young was forgotten.

As a mother we should teach them what is right, for sure that those things which they heard from us everyday would never depart from their heart and mind and it will become their guide.

As a mother and a light of the family we should fulfill our duties and obligation to our children with love. It will be their light and guide as they tackle every steps of their way. It will lead them in the right path that will give them brighter future.           

Head of the Family Responsibilities

A father is the head of the family. We believed that every rules inside the family should be implemented by the head of the family which is the father. It is also the the father who knows best for his family. And fo sure we know that every father wants a good and better future for his family.

Every father has his own way of dealing with his family. He has responsibility for each member of the family, and this responsibility should be put into action in order to have a better result for the family. Here are some common responsibilities of a father.

Provider:

As a head of the family he should be the one to find ways and means to provide for the needs of his family. It is but common today that most family have the mother who also work in order to provide the needs of their family. It is just a sort of an additional income. It should be the father who need to provide for his family. He should be the one to look for a job, to have a job, in order to supply the needs of his family. A mother's obligation is first to take care of her family but if ever there are chances of working in order to earn, then sometimes mothers decide to go for it in order to help for the needs of the family.

Protector:

As a head of the family he should be the one to protect his family from every harm. He should know how to protect each of the member of the family. He should be strong enough not only in physical but also in emotional aspect in order for him to be firm in protecting his family. It is not only a responsibility but a sure obligation of a father.

Judge:

A judge is the one who gives judgement. As a father he should also be the one to implement judgment upon every rules that he implemented inside the house. If ever one of the family member disobeyed the rule, the father is the one who knows what's best. He is not to give judgment in a harsh way but it is implemented with love in order for each to learn with meekness from every mistake s they committed.

As a friend and a brother:

As a father you should act not only a father but as a friend and a brother. Sometimes children can't speak directly to their parents about what they feel. They will rather go to a friend or their brother. But as a father if you know how to act as a friend and a brother to your children, they will not hesitate to open up every problem to you, because they can trust you not as a father but as a friend and a brother.

Leader:

Each group needs a leader to lead them. A family is a group that needs a real leader who can lead them in a right way. As a father you are the one who can lead your family in a right path which will lead them in a better tomorrow.

This is just but simple responsibilities but will lead to a better future of your family if you put this into action.

Good Family Relationship

They say that home is a place where love abides and where family stays together. But for me, home is not a home unless each member of the family treat each other nicely or each member of he family have a nice relationship. Relationship is not done through words but it should be done in action. It should be done with love and care toward each other inside the family.

A father as a head of the family should have to deal right with each family member. There should be a husband and wife relationship that should set as an example to the children. There should be a right relationship between father and children.

As a mother, she should also deal right with her husband. And she should do her obligation to her children and her husband. A right and good relationship within each member of the family. A mother is the one who can give joy to the family members on how she deals with them and how she shows her sincerity and faithfulness to her family as a wife and a mother.

The children must also show their respect to their parents. As children it is but their obligation to obey their parents and to be responsive whatever their parents show and do to them. It is but the joy of each parent to feel that their children are proud of them and they show their love and respect by obeying them as parents. Through this, relationship of the family will flow smoothly.

To have a good family rtelationship it is to be consider that there is always the give and take. It is not a good relationship if one side will just takeand take nd never give in return. Eventhough it is a family but the give and take should be practice in order to establish a good relationship.

Though how simple their family living is, if there is a right kind of relationship, the family does not only live together but they enjoy each moment they share together inside their home. Someday whenever time will come that they need to leave their family due to unavoidable reason, yet they will treasure each moment when they were together because of the right family relationship inside their home.
